Junkyard Quotes!

So I have collected five quotes throughout this past week. Some I adore and read, while others I overheard and I am still puzzled over...but I find them amusing!

1. "All gardens are a form of autobiography". -Robert Dash    I love this quote, and I find it to be true. My mum and myself's garden does show our personality with in it, the flowers we choose and how we care for them. It even shows in my own home with my mini garden!

2. "Fearless minds climb soonest into crowns." -Shakespeare
First of all I'm a shakespear nut! I read this quote in a biography I have about him and I feel that it is true. Those who take risks to get to where they want to be will get there faster than those who always play it safe.

3. “You've got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your grandfather was.”- my friends father
I was talking with a friend over skype, he lives in Ireland, and we were talking about all sorts of things, mostly troubles and his father popped on and told me this. He is most certainly right! You have to live up to your own hieght no matter how much greater someone else was. I guess it means "Be who you are ment to be, not what others want you to be."

4. "You're an apple short of a fritter"- random person I happened to pass on my way to class
I thought this was so funny! It was just great to overhear it and I'm pretty sure that it means you might be crazy?

5. "Excuses are like backsides. Everybody’s got one and they all stink".- overheard somewhere
Oh so true! No more excuses people! Anyways, as I said a earlier it is true, I overhear a lot of excuses everyday when I'm walking around campus. People will even make up excuses to their friends that you know are not true or just plain weird. I think it's an interesting quote and has a good meaning??

All of these quotes I feel are great! I love their meanings and their insinuations. I suppose they all have a little something to teach us about life and ourselves!

Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful evening!
P.S. I woul dlove to know what you think!

  1. I really like the first one and the third one personally.

Dunno' how many video games you've played, but the game Pikmin was made by Shigeru Miyamoto, the man who made Mario and Zelda. Pikmin was based on Miyamoto's own garden. His garden inspired him to create an entire game and I think that's pretty amazing. I think that it encompasses more than just gardens though. But certainly, I think anything a person puts any considerable amount of time into will become an autobiography.

Also, for number 3... well it just makes sense. You can't let the reputation of others precede you. I like to think people know who I am because of me and not because of my father or my mother. I want to be known, but I want to make sure I make that happen myself.
